Grossmont High School
West Hills High School
In the CIF Quarterfinals, West Hills beat Grossmont 11 to 6. The stormy weather could not control our hot offense and aggressive defense. In the first quarter, the Lady Wolf Pack went out quick and had a 3-0 lead. Grossmont took advantage of two power plays early to cut that lead to 3-2 at the end of the first quarter. But, West Hills was not to let Grossmont back into the game. The defense stepped up and got two quick steals which led to counterattack goals extending the lead to 5-2. To end the half each team traded goals giving West Hills a 6-3 lead. In the 3rd quarter, West Hills continued to dominate on defense and extended the lead to 9-4. In the 4th quarter, West Hills got a little sloppy and allowed 3 man advantage opportunities for Grossmont, but Sharayah Moore was back in the cage and ended up getting 2 field blocks to end any ideas of a comeback for Grossmont.
Brooke Steavenson and Fallon Burnworth each had 3 goals for the Lady Wolf Pack. Carly Bockstahler had 2 goals. Natalie Holder, Cami Raley, and Natalie Lazor all had one goal.
